The Roundup

It's Martin Luther King Day, so The Roundup is taking the day off from bringing you the news from California's political world - but in the spirit of the day we wanted to say "Thank you!"

As a nonprofit organization, a huge part of our operating budget comes from donations and sponsorships - we quite literally could not do this without them.

We just tallied up the donations from our End of Year fund drive, and, thanks to the generous support of many, many people, we are happy to announce that we not only made our goal of raising $20,000 - we actually exceeded it, bringing in $20,136!  We are honored by the generosity of the people and organizations who support public policy journalism. THANK YOU!

And, a special note of thanks to the California Endowment, who provided matching funds to help us keep the ball rolling at a crucial point during the fundraiser.  We can't thank them enough!
